Privacy & Data Security
At RV Boost, we understand the critical importance of protecting our customers’ intellectual property, data confidentiality, and compliance obligations, especially in sensitive and high-security environments and projects.
This article outlines how our Revit plugin handles data transmission, security, and offline functionality.
Data Transmission
Does the plugin transmit any data externally during use?
No project-related data (e.g., Revit models, metadata, user-generated content) is ever transmitted externally to RV Boost servers or third parties during normal use or background operations. There are only two exceptions:
- The license key, which is stored locally and sent to our server at app launch to validate your subscription.
- If you run our software using a Single license and not a Network (floating) one, we collect information about your computer’s unique device identifiers only to check if our software is being used on the correct computer associated with that Single license key.
Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
Do we collect or access your project data?
We do not collect, store, or analyze:
- Project models
- BIM metadata
- User content or annotations
Our plugin is designed to operate entirely within your environment, ensuring full control and confidentiality of your projects.
Are there any scenarios where your data is accessed or reviewed?
No. There are zero scenarios where your data is stored, accessed, or processed by the RV Boost team. We treat your data privacy as a top priority.
Security and Compliance
