Let’s make sure RV RoomLink fully understands you!

Probably the most frequent question we get on this app is how to have it check all the required rooms and elements. Here’s a checklist for you:

• Check that the links containing the required rooms are loaded.
• Check that you specified the right phase of required linked rooms. These are different from phases in your active Revit model so if unsure, open the link to get the correct phase name.
• Check that you specified the right phase of required elements from your active Revit model. These are different from the phases in your links!
• Consider including rooms or elements on phases before the selected phase. If enabled, this tells RV RoomLink to include in the room check all elements that Revit considered New or Existing in the phase you selected. If an element has been Demolished in that phase, it will be skipped.
• Check that your Revit elements indeed have the parameters you want RV RoomLink to update.

Once you have specified the required rooms and elements, the rest should hopefully be easy!
