Define no-fly-zones
In a typical Revit project, a No-Fly Zone above a ceiling is a reserved 3D volume in the plenum designed to prevent other trades from placing components that would interfere with structural movement or critical access.
In infrastructure and tunnel projects, a No-Fly Zone is a dynamic, 3D exclusion volume used to reserve space for operational, safety, or structural requirements. Unlike static equipment clearances, these zones often have complex, varying geometries that follow the project’s alignment.
The video below shows how you can create no-fly zones in Revit with RV ZoneMonitor and use those to quickly detect any elements violating these zones.
